LinkedIn AI Prompt - Know Your LinkedIn Ranking
Your rank is a fun fact. The twelve creators just above you are a content plan. The prompt that turns one into the other.
Knowing you are ranked 214th in your country is a fun fact. Knowing what the twelve people ranked just above you post, how often, and in what format is a content plan.
The ranking is the starting point. Almost everyone treats it as the answer, stares at the top ten, and learns nothing, because the person at number one has a different problem than you do.

Look at your neighbours, not the leaderboard
The creators five to fifteen places ahead of you are running a version of your situation that is working slightly better. The gap between you and them is usually one specific habit, not a talent difference and not a decade of head start.
That is a fixable comparison. "Be more like the number one creator in your country" is not.

VARIABLES
{{HANDLE}} = your LinkedIn handle
{{RANKING}} = marketing-sales, France
{{NEIGHBOURS}} = 12
{{WINDOW}} = last 6 months
TASK
1. Return my rank, my authority score, and every ranking I
appear in.
2. Pull the {{NEIGHBOURS}} creators ranked immediately above me
in {{RANKING}}.
3. Compare my content to theirs over {{WINDOW}}: formats,
topics, posting frequency, best posts.
4. Rank the differences by how much each likely explains the
gap, and say which one to change first.
OUTPUT
Part 1 — my rank, score, rankings I appear in
Part 2 — handle | rank | followers | ER | posts per month |
dominant format | best recent post
Part 3 — ranked differences, one concrete change per line
CONSTRAINTS
- Compare me to my neighbours, not to the top 10. Number one
has a different problem than I do.
- Do not recommend anything I cannot do inside {{WINDOW}}.
QUALITY CHECK
If every difference you list amounts to "post more", the
comparison was shallow. Re-run on format mix and topic overlap.
The two rankings worth caring about
- Your country and niche ranking. This is where brands looking for someone like you actually search. Moving from 200 to 80 inside a specific niche is worth considerably more than a global position nobody filters by. Global rankings are for screenshots. Niche rankings are for inbound.
- Your trajectory. A rank is a snapshot. Direction is the signal. A creator climbing steadily is a better bet than one who peaked eight months ago and has been coasting since, and brands increasingly look at exactly this, because coasting is invisible in a single-date screenshot and obvious in a curve.
How has my rank and authority score moved over {{WINDOW}}? Is the trend up, flat or down, and what changed in my content around the turning points?
That last clause is the useful half. A dip that lines up with three weeks of no posting is a scheduling problem. A dip that lines up with a format change is a content problem. They look identical on the chart and need opposite fixes.

What actually moves a rank
In rough order of how much they tend to matter, and how quickly you can act on each:
- Consistency of posting. Dull, and it is still the biggest lever. Irregular posting costs more than weak posting.
- Format mix. Most people who plateau are doing one format exclusively. The neighbours above you are usually doing two or three.
- Topic focus. A recognisable subject compounds. A feed that covers everything reaches nobody in particular, which is fine socially and bad for a niche ranking.
- Comment quality on your own posts. Replying properly to your own comment section does more than another post would.
- Follower count. Last, deliberately. It is an outcome of the four above, not an input you can pull.
If you are on the brand side reading this
Run the same prompt on your candidates instead of on yourself. A creator's rank within a specific niche and country is a faster relevance check than reading their last twenty posts, and the trajectory question separates people who are growing from people who are coasting on an audience they built two years ago.
