The Authenticity Score ⭐

The Authenticity Score is a powerful feature designed to help brands identify credible, trustworthy creators while allowing influencers to demonstrate their authenticity through transparent metrics.

Whether you're a brand aiming to avoid manipulation tactics and improve ROI, or a creator looking to showcase your credibility—this tool is built to serve both sides of the ecosystem.

Key Axis

Axis 1: Post Content (15% Weight)

What We Look At:

We analyze the recent posts to evaluate content substance and originality.

Content Patterns We Assess:

  • Original voice vs. generic motivational templates
  • Personal experiences vs. recycled trending topics
  • Specific insights vs. vague inspirational quotes
  • Varied content themes vs. repetitive posting patterns

Red Flags in Posts:

  • Template Overuse: Same post structure repeated ("Here's what I learned...")
  • Motivational Clichés: Generic phrases like "Lean into the fear"
  • Brand Partnership Overload: More than 30% of recent posts are sponsored
  • Copy-Paste Captions: Similar phrasing across multiple posts

Quick Assessment:

  • High Quality: Each post feels personal and unique
  • Medium Quality: Mix of original and templated content
  • Low Quality: Mostly generic, repetitive posting patterns

Axis 2: AI Content (30% Weight)

Why This Gets Top Priority:

AI-generated content lacks the human authenticity that drives genuine influence. We can spot AI patterns just by reading recent posts.

AI Red Flags We Spot:

  • Perfect Grammar: No typos, contractions, or casual language
  • Repetitive Structure: Every post follows identical format
  • Generic Conclusions: Endings that could work on any post
  • Buzzword Heavy: Industry terms without personal context
  • No Personal Stories: Vague references instead of specific experiences

Human Content Signals:

  • Natural Voice: Includes slang, typos, personal quirks
  • Specific Stories: Detailed personal anecdotes with names, places, dates
  • Conversational Tone: Writes like they're talking to a friend
  • Unique Perspectives: Takes that feel genuinely personal

Quick Test:

Read 5 recent posts. If they all sound like they could be written by the same professional copywriter, it's likely AI-assisted or generated.

Axis 3: Engagement Quality (25% Weight)

Beyond Basic Numbers: We focus on comment quality rather than just engagement rate.

Comment Red Flags:

  • Generic Praise: "So inspiring!", "Love this!", "Amazing!"
  • Template Responses: Same phrases across multiple posts
  • Excessive Politeness: "Thank you for sharing this valuable content, [Name]"
  • Name Overuse: Comments that repeat the creator's name unnaturally
  • Perfect Grammar: Comments with no casual language or typos

Authentic Engagement Signs:

  • Specific Comments: References to particular details in the post
  • Personal Stories: Followers sharing their own experiences
  • Questions: People asking for advice or clarification
  • Natural Language: Casual tone with typical social media grammar
  • Back-and-Forth: Creator actively responding to comments

Quick Assessment Method:

Look at the top 10 comments on recent posts. If more than half feel generic or template-like, engagement quality is poor.

Axis 4: Expertise (20% Weight)

Surface Knowledge vs. Depth: We evaluate content depth based on what's posted, not external research.

Signs of Genuine Knowledge:

  • Specific Examples: Uses detailed, personal case studies
  • Nuanced Takes: Acknowledges complexity rather than oversimplifying
  • Process Details: Explains how, not just what
  • Admits Limitations: Honest about what they don't know

Shallow Content Indicators:

  • Buzzword Heavy: Uses industry terms without explanation
  • Generic Advice: Tips that apply to everything and nothing
  • No Examples: Makes claims without supporting details
  • Contradictory Posts: Inconsistent positions on same topics

Quick Check:

Read their last 10 educational/advice posts. Can you learn something specific and actionable, or is it all high-level motivational content?

Axis 5: Follower Growth Patterns (10% Weight)

What We Can See: Using available tools and profile observation to spot unnatural growth.

Natural Growth Indicators:

  • Steady increases that correlate with good content
  • Engagement grows proportionally with followers
  • Growth spikes match viral posts or media mentions
  • Follower quality appears engaged and active

Suspicious Patterns:

  • Sudden jumps with no viral content to explain them
  • Flat engagement despite growing follower count
  • Follower-following ratios that seem unnatural
  • Generic follower profiles with no activity

Quick Check Method:

Look at growth over the last 6 months. Does it make sense based on their content quality and viral moments?

Final Score Calculation:

Final Score = (Post Content× 15%) + (AI Content × 30%) + (Engagement Quality × 25%) + (Expertise × 20%) + (Follower Growth× 10%)

Quick Verdict Guide:

  • 80+: ✅ Authentic - Safe partnership
  • 60-79: 🔍 Review Needed - Proceed with caution
  • 40-59: ⚠️ Risky - High chance of issues
  • Below 40: ❌ Avoid - Too many red flags

Why This Approach Works

Profile-Based Assessment Benefits:

  • Fast: Complete evaluation in under 10 minutes
  • Accurate: Focuses on visible authenticity signals
  • Scalable: No need for external research or industry expertise
  • Practical: Uses data readily available to any brand

Common Mistake Brands Make: Focusing only on follower count and basic engagement rate while ignoring the quality signals that indicate genuine influence and authentic audience connection.

Authentic influencers create content that feels personal, generate meaningful audience engagement, and maintain consistent growth patterns. These signals are visible in their profiles without needing deep industry research or external verification.
